Xiaomi Mi 6 launching tomorrow?



The Xiaomi Mi 6 will feature a 5.15-inch full HD screen with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

After so many rumours about the launch date for the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone, the date just seems to be confirmed now. As per a new post on Chinese microblogging website Weibo, Xiaomi’s official has revealed the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be launched tomorrow, April 11 at 12:00AM.


Recently, Xiaomi Mi 6 with model name Xiaomi Sagit was found on GFXBencmarking website. As per the listing on GFXBench, Xiaomi Mi 6 has a 5.1-inch display that has full HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution and 5 finger gesture support. Besides, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.2GHz octa-core processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.4GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 540 GPU. The smartphone has 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB internal storage and 128 internal storage. The Mi 6 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. In the listing, there is no information about its battery or expandable memory.

Further, the Xiaomi phone is listed with a 12-megapixel autofocus camera and a LED flash in its rear panel. There is an 8-megapixel camera in its front for selfies. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has an accelerometer, gyroscope, light sensor and proximity sensor as well.

The Xiaomi Mi 6, Mi 6 Plus full specs sheets were leaked online some time back which revealed that both the smartphones will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with Adreno 540 GPU. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will feature a 5.15-inch full HD screen with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, while the elder sibling will boast a 5.7-inch screen but it will carry a similar 1080p resolution. 
 
The Mi 6 will come in 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of UFS 2.0 storage option. The Plus variant will boast a 6GB of RAM and might come in two storage variant of 64GB and 128GB. On the camera front, the Mi 6 Plus will feature dual-camera setup with both sportings a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor, while for the front, there will be an 8-megapixel ultra pixel shooter. The smartphone will be juiced by a large 4500mAh Li-Po battery.

The Mi 6 will come loaded with a 19-megapixel camera with Sony IMX400 sensor and 1/2.3-inch lens. For the front, there will be a similar 8-megapixel Ultra Pixel camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone will get its power from a 3200mAh battery. Lastly, the Mi 6 Plus will come loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat based on MIUI 8, while the smaller sibling is reported to come with an older Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
