Motorola Moto Z2 Play with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, Moto Mods support launched in India, price starts at Rs 27,999

Motorola has announced the launch of Moto Z2 Play in India. The smartphone will be available in India starting at Rs 27,999 across all leading mobile stores, and Flipkart and users can pre-book the device till June 14 from both offline as well as from the e-commerce site. 
 
The brand has also introduced exciting pre-booking offers including ‘Hello Finance’ through which one can pre-book the latest device for Rs 2,000 and can pay 10 monthly EMIs without any interest. The offer is only valid through Bajaj Finserv or Homecredit. Alternatively, one can also swipe his/her card and convert the payment into 3/6/9/12 months EMI without any interest at select stores. 
 
Other than this, the brand will offer some offers on Select Moto Mods and will also introduce Moto Armor Pack, which comes loaded with protective accessories including carbon fiber style shell and more to protect your smartphone. Users will also get 50 percent off on select Moto Mods. Further, the brand is also offering up to 100 GB of additional 4G data for Reliance Jio users. One will get 10GB of additional 4G data when they perform a recharge of Rs 309 or above till March 31, 2018, though it is limited to 10 recharges till the said date. 
 
The major highlight of the smartphone is the sleek design coupled with the compatibility of the Moto Mods. The device is just 5.99mm thick and weighs just 145 grams, making it one of the slimmest smartphones available in the market right now. Just like, Moto Z Play, you will find magnetic pins, which are used to connect Moto Mods.
 
Further, the Moto Z2 Play comes loaded with Moto Experiences as well. There is a night display feature which automatically adjusts the screen temperature to a warmer tone at night. Then there is Moto Voice which will provide helpful info like weather or calendar updates, or automatically launch an application without having to touch or unlock your phone.
 
Lastly, through Moto Actions one can perform different actions by performing different gestures on the fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in the home button. One can activate one button navigation to quickly move through screens. Swipe left to go back, right to access recent apps, tap to go home, and use one long press to lock your phone.
 
Jumping straight to the specifications, the Moto Z2 Play comes loaded with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels coupled with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel density of 401 ppi. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor clocked at 2.2GHz. It comes in two RAM and storage variants: one with 3GB Ram and 32GB storage, while the other one sports a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 2TB via micro SD card slot.
 
On the camera front, the device features a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.4-micron pixels, f/1.7 aperture, dual LED flash and laser and dual autofocus lens. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture, wide-angle lens and a front flash. The device runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is juiced up by a 3000mAh battery along with TurboPower charger. 
 
On the connectivity front, it include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, headphone jack, NFC, FM radio, and GPS/ A-GPS.
