Tecno Mobile, a subsidiary of Transsion Holdings which has brands like itel and Infinix under its portfolio, has added a new member to its smartphone portfolio with the launch of Tecno Camon I. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 8,990 and it will be available in Champagne Gold, Midnight Black and City Blue colour options. The phone will be available through offline channels across India.
The smartphone comes loaded with a 5.65-inch HD+ FullView display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The display comes with a 2.5D curved glass and bears an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Tecno Camon I is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor along with Mali-T760 GPU. The phone is backed by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot.
On the camera front, the device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Quad LED flash and PDAF. For the front, there is a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with video chat flashfor selfies and video calling. The Camon I is backed by a 3050mAh battery and it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with company’s HiOS running on top of it.
The phone also features a fingerprint sensor at the back panel. On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, OTG, dual-SIM and micro USB port. The phone measures 152.2 × 71.1 × 7.75mm and weighs 134 grams.
